Our colleagues from WCF have managed to grab a few spy shots of the upcoming Audi S3 while undergoing some high speed testing. The car you see in these photos is actually a pre-production version of the soon-to-be-revealed 2013 Audi S3.
This three-door version of the car was wearing a standard silver paint and featured two sets of twin tailpipes coming out of the rear end, which certainly means that this is not a regular A3, but the hotter S3 version which packs more punch. On the design front, nothing significant has changed but most likely the car will look a bit different when the production version will come out.
Under the hood of the new S3 there will probably be a 4-cylinder, turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that generates 276 hp (280 PS / 206 kW). Most likely, the car will be available with the company’s quattro AWD system as well as with an optional S tronic double clutch gearbox.
Most likely, the 2013 Audi S3 will make its first public appearance later on this September at the Paris Motor Show.
