At this year’s edition of the Worthersee tuning show organized in Austria, Skoda introduced the rally-spec version of its tiny Citigo model. It has a full roll cage and in order to make room for it they took out the entire interior and instead they’ve also installed a racing wheel, a racing seat, along with a digital display. On the outside you can easily see the massive bodykit which makes the car considerably more aggressive than its standard sibling.
Under the bonnet of the Skoda Citigo Rally is a 1.2-liter engine (bigger than the 1.0-liter of the regular version) which does not comply with any of the FIA approved categories. Skoda said that the bodykit developed for this car is not only for show because it will comply with the technical regulations.
You won’t be seeing a Skoda Citigo Rally in the WRC competition in the near future since that spot is occupied by the Volkswagen Polo R WRC.
