One of the most beautiful BMWs we’ve seen in the last few years is this Z4-based Zagato Coupe which was revealed last month at the Villa d’Este Concours in Italy. This is the latest model coming from Zagato, after the superb Aston Martin V12 Zagato shown earlier this year which will go into a limited production run with each unit carrying a price tag of 400,000 pounds.
Getting back to this Z4 Zagato, its swooping bodywork is hand-rolled by using an aluminum sheet, while the interior is borrowed mostly from the Z4. We also notice the double-bubble roof and the powerful haunches, while the rear-end is a classic Zagato cue.
At the moment, this is only a one-off model but the car is road legal and has already been registered in Germany. In addition, the vehicle has undergone some high speed testing and it adheres to the crash regulations, while the aerodynamics are optimized in order to provide the necessary stability while the car is driven at high speeds.
We don’t have any confirmed details about what’s under that beautiful hood but it seems that this BMW Zagato Coupe is motivated by a turbocharged 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder engine that delivers 335 hp which is the engine that the z4 sDrive35is has.
