At the 2012 edition of the Beijing Motor Show, KIA has brought the long wheelbase version of its very successful Carnival MPV which will be available only in the Chinese market. Known as the Grand VQ-R, this model is set to hit Kia’s dealerships this September.
The car will be powered by the 2.2-liter diesel that can be found on the European version of the Sorento. This engine delivers 194 hp (197 PS / 145 kW) and a peak torque of 321 lb.-ft (435 Nm), linked to a six-speed automatic gearbox.
The Kia Grand VQ-R has three rows of seats which can accommodate up to seven passengers and the driver. The third row can be folded below the car’s cargo compartment so the storage capacity can be extended when necessary.
