Audi RS4 Avant Starts From 54,925 Pounds

Available only in the Avant flavor, the new Audi RS4 is expected to hit the dealerships in the United Kingdom this fall where it will cost from 54,925 pounds. At the heart of this hot estate is Audi’s V8 4.2-liter engine that also powers the RS5. It will be mated to a dual clutch, seven-speed transmission and can unleash no less than 444 hp at 8,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 317 lb.-ft available between 4,000 rpm and 6,000 rpm. According to the Ingolstadt-based automaker, the new RS4 Avant is capable of returning 26.4 mpg UK.

One of its biggest rivals is the C63 AMG, priced at 57,775 pounds. This model comes with a larger V8 6.2-liter power unit that pumps out 451 hp and 442 lb.-ft of torque but it is less economical as it can return only 23.2 mpg on the combined cycle. Both models have an electronically limited maximum speed of 155 mph. the Audi needs 4.7 seconds to perform the 0-62 mph sprint while the Mercedes can do it 0.1 quicker.

The new generation of the Audi RS4 Avant comes with a speed-dependent electromechanical steering that when braking on uneven surfaces it can automatically perform minor steering adjustments. As standard, the car will be riding on 10-spoke, 19-inch alloy wheels, while some of the standard goodies include Bluetooth, DVD-based satellite navigation system, leather and Alcantara sport seats and several carbon fiber touches. For 1,420 pounds more you can opt for the Technology Package Advanced box that brings HDD-based navigation, reversing camera and adaptive cruise control.

If you have more money to spend you can get the Audi RS4 Avant with the Sport Pacakge which will set you back an additional 2,250 pounds. For the money you’ll be getting titanium-look 20-inch alloys, the company’s dynamic ride control and also a sports exhaust system.
