I’ve always considered that the cars Alpina make are very special and the B5 Bi-Turbo is no exception. The latest update brought to this BMW 5-Series-based sedan comes with a power boost for the V8 4.4-liter twin-turbo engine that increases the output to 533 hp (540 PS / 397 kW) and 538 lb.-ft (730 Nm) of torque, which is 32 hp (33 PS / 24 kW) and 22 lb.-ft (30 Nm) more.
Thanks to this increase in power, the Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo is able to reach 62 mph from start in only 4.5 seconds which is 0.2 sec quicker than before. The top speed has also increased to 198 mph (319 km/h) which is 7 mph (12 km/h) more.
As far as the car’s efficiency is concerned, the car is able to return 22.4 mpg (10.5 liters / 100 km or 26.9 mpg UK) while CO2 emissions stand at 244 g/km.
