2013 Hyundai Sonata Gets More Standard Equipment

The 2013 model year of the Hyundai Sonata brings some mild standard equipment updates throughout the entire range, before the redesign of the vehicle which is scheduled for 2014, according to the company’s CEO.

The entry-level 2013 Hyundai Sonata GLS with the Popular Equipment Package now features as standard heated front seats and fog lights, and this version is priced at $21,720. For the SE version, this one is now sold with heated front seats, while the Limited model features a traditional sunroof as standard equipment. Those who get the Limited Premium Package will also have a panoramic sunroof on their 2013 Sonata.

There aren’t any changes to the car in comparison to the 2012 model year so in the engine compartment you will find the same two gasoline engines, in the form of a 2.4-liter Theta II GDI engine that pumps out 198 hp or 200 hp for the SE trim that comes with a dual exhaust system. The other engine is a more powerful 2.0-liter Theta II turbocharged GDI unit that delivers 274 hp. In addition, clients can also opt for the Hybrid variant of the 2013 Sonata that produces 206 hp.
